Rooster Relocation. A Community Project.

What can we do for unwanted roosters?

At Southern Edition Farm, we take in healthy roosters year-round. We know that some cities and neighborhoods don’t allow roosters in backyard flocks. We know sometimes people who can have roosters still don’t want them. We give rooster owners the power to choose what kind of life they want for their roosters.

Rooster life at Southern Edition Farm

We have a pasture dedicated to our flock of roosters. When roosters live together away from hens, they get along well and are happy to forage in our pastures. We call these guys our Bug Patrol. They eat pesky insects and help us keep the farm in tip top shape. Another option we offer rooster owners is to donate their rooster to our community support program. In this instance, we will feed roosters to butchering weight, then we will humanely process and package the rooster and donate it to local families in need.

How can you donate roosters?

We are all set up on our new farm just outside of Clarksville, Arkansas. To donate roosters, please reach out via text message, email, or Facebook message. Roosters can be dropped off at our farm.
